Open-minded, Modern, Sussex Celebrant
If you are looking for an open-minded, modern and stylish celebrant in Sussex then I am your person. I changed my career after decades of working in events and communication for companies like The Body Shop and charities such as Sightsavers, Design Council and Anthony Nolan. My previous career gives me great event and organisational skills, a design-led approach to the creative process and oodles of ideas.

Through my own experiences of grief and loss I was drawn to become a funeral celebrant, training with the Celebrants’ Collective, before extending into creating beautiful wedding ceremonies, alternative friendship ceremonies and other bespoke ceremonies to mark life’s momentous moments.

I live in Ashdown Forest in Sussex with my wife, two children and two dogs, and we often have friends visiting us to enjoy a spot of nature.
In my spare time I act, dance, do some burlesque and sing. I perform my poetry and stories at our local open-mic spoken word night - and plan to try stand-up comedy one day! In Autumn 2025 I had the honour of being part of the Brighton LGBTQ+ community cast in Gary Clarke's Detention, a powerful and thought provoking theatre dance production about Section 28.

I am also Chair of FRow Friends, the befriending service for Forest Row and organise their EarlyBird Afternoon Cabaret for the over 70s in Forest Row where I am also the MC and Compere for the event.
Are You Looking for a Modern Celebrant with a Warm and Open-Minded Approach?
I have a warm personality, excellent listening skills and am an accomplished writer and confident presenter. I hold the space in a ceremony in a safe and inclusive way
and tailor my tone and style (even my clothes!) according to the mood you want.
It would be my pleasure to create an extra special ceremony for you.
